So sick of hearing/reading that “definition.” It is not a definition, but merely a sign. Using it is sign of something; using it incorrectly is a sign of something else.
I used to listen to an all-news radio station back home which repeats the same stories every half-hour. Is that a definition of insanity? To me, not really.

He’s got the advice wrong. It’s “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”.
Merely doing the same thing over and over again? That’s the definition of bowling.
