He’s got the advice wrong. It’s “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”.

Merely doing the same thing over and over again? That’s the definition of bowling.

So sick of hearing/reading that “definition.” It is not a definition, but merely a sign. Using it is sign of something; using it incorrectly is a sign of something else.

I’m insane. I read gocomics over and over and over and over………..Not the same one, mind your, but it still is over and over and over.

I used to listen to an all-news radio station back home which repeats the same stories every half-hour. Is that a definition of insanity? To me, not really.

It depends. Did you expect the stories to end differently each time?

If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a million times – the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over!

Whoever made the statement never met a PC.
