There’s no such thing as “half-evolved”. That’s not how evolution works. There’s no end result in evolution, so you can never be halfway to it. Well, except for extinction — I suppose that could be considered the end result of evolution. But then you’d think being half-evolved would be a good thing, like being only middle-aged rather than Sadie-aged.
