One of the best presents my father gave me – because it combined my love of cats with our shared love of puns and old movies – was a calendar of such. Catsablanca and My Fur Lady have already been mentioned (I regret forgetting to bring the latter page for castmates’ autographs when I was in the human version); off the top I also remember Gunga Din Din, Claws, and A Streetcat Named Desire.

Posted this on BCN also. Was listening to Coast to Coast last night. On the show was an animal communicator. Amelia Kinkade. She talked about cats. George asked her the difference between cats and dogs. She said, “dogs think about hot dogs sticks walks and car rides. Cats think about quantum physics. She said they will tell you they are from Alpha Centauri. Also they are magical ET s and they are divine. She mentioned that on ancient cave art, big cats were depicted, but never a house cat. They didn’t appear in art until the Egyptians, when the cat headed goddess appeared. WOW
