Hope Trout never asks for a tune-up…. since she doesn’t know what it means….
And that her Mom never has to explain.
Poor kid already knows more than a 10-year-old should….
though I will say her Mom tries to shield her, to a degree.
Euphemisms?

she goes in for an oil change
Trout’s mom barters with Jake. She gives him a “lube job” and an “oil change” like no other at the garage.
Not true. She goes in for a trim so often that she does get a haircut, you just can’t tell. (I used to have a boss that would get his hair trimmed every two weeks for the sake of consistency.)
