No, no, just because you ask about someone’s kids doesn’t mean you should be subjected to a multimedia barrage. You should just get a brief answer, like “Junior’s going great. He’s really into playing croquet.” Just enough to give a little insight in case you want to talk more about him, but short enough to move on in case you don’t.

For those who think that the Mom opened the door, does that mean I can pull out my stack of medical records when you ask me “how are you?” :-)
