Just don’t leave important papers out in case Squeaky decides to build a nest.

Good grief… where to begin. They take that dang rat everywhere they go. You only invite them to dinner once let me tell you.

And they play kiss kiss with it, I had to leave the room!

What they are not trilled about is Squeaky and the bullhorn at 1:37 in the morning.

    And 2:58…

    and 4:17.

Come on…. cut them a little slack.

    They’ve been married 43 years.

    Rosalyn was an only child.

She never did get pregnant…. and she’s allergic to cats….

Todd is allergic to dogs… his brother lives three states away, and never married.

Squeaky is their first real pet…. and substitute child.

    No wonder they’re thrilled.

So they overdo it a bit. Or a lot.

Well, I  say, as long as they’re happy, I can be very tolerant.

And… you know…. as long as Squeaky is neutered….

And always being carried or on a leash…. never running free….

And they never bring him into the Tiki…..

Or any other restaurant in Ballard county….

    Or my salon.

And they keep him at least TEN FEET from me at all times…

Why not let them have fun?

Can’t tell if Squeaky is having fun or in the throws of a heart attack.

Except chewing the wires in their car’s motor, messing on the counter, biting through bread bags, ….

The Willards have always loved rats – and Squeaky is no exception. Among their favorites were Ben and Socrates, Templeton ( who liked pigs and spiders ), and Remy ( a great cook ).
