Every morning at exactly 6 am I get the subtle tail wag, right in my face. If I ignore that he turns around and give me the pawing on my chest. It is still nicer than an alarm clock and his internal clock is dead accurate :)
Gwen and Lan (Beagle) were brought in if temp was 32. Last year, I had to put Gwen down. Lana started backing at night when it got to 40. OK. But she keeps waking up at 1:30 – 3:30 for a walk. 15 years old, blind in one eye, other eye suspect. Hearing shot. Well, I have to get up in the middle of the night with my prostate so it works out. Wish her allarm would go off at 6AM and not 2:30AM.

Yep. Mine wakes me promptly with his bark-alarm … At 12:00 am, 2:00 am, 5:00 am….
