I can truly empathize with Arlo.

Gene has big plans. And apparently some business acumen.

Skip the hot tub, total waste of funds from putting it in and maintenance. People go ooooh when they see it but they’ll never use it.

What happened to Arlo’s boat?

They do say that everyone should have at least five streams of income… I’ve got to learn how to do that.

Not a bad in-law apartment. Nice of the kids to want them.

I really hope they thoroughly vet their future guests.

Right Gene. You’re downsizing your crops to meet costs. And your planning to build a rustic ‘chalet’? Every middle class family with dreams like this ends up with a tin shack with a wading pool.

I knew a guy who built a $40K guest house for his mother…only cost $110,000.

Gene is probably selling pot on the side to supplement their income.

Gene needs to go all in and buy a fixer-upper. Already with utilities, etc. Cheaper to fix one up than to build. The zoning and inspection Nazi’s will drive new construction costs through the roof. Been there, done it.
