I’m reminded of John Dickerson’s characterization of MAGA supporters as being the people who were frustrated at nonfunctional motion sensitive faucets, wondering what was wrong with the old method of knobs… It’s all part of the struggle to make public bathrooms “touchless” so we don’t have to encounter other people’s poopy stuff (from what I’ve read, the problem is that very few people bother to wash their hands effectively, but I’ve not seen good increased mortality and morbidity numbers that arise)…
