“That’s ridiculous. How can meat make a machine? You’re asking me to believe in sentient meat.”

Quote from “They’re Made Out Of Meat” a science fiction short story by Terry Bisson.

That must be the remote control. It can tell everyone what to do except the monkey.

    A perfectly understandable mistake.

Implanted devices [iiPhones?] can’t be too far off.

The alien is jealous. It’s barely got opposable thumbs. “Edward Wrench-hands.”

Oh Johnny Five. Are you really all that smart? I believe you once had this conversation:

——- Johnny Five: Frederick, I have an important question. Why do humans not like me, call me “craphead”?

Fred: They like you. They like you. Craphead is a compliment.

    Johnny Five: Oh…

I hope that stupid robot doesn’t try to interfere –

    – there’s a great symbiotic relationship here!!

The intelligent life-form gets a free ride to all sorts of exotic locations (the office, the car, the bathroom), protection from predators (feet, dirt, rain) and all the electricity it can eat …

… and the monkey gets a toy to suck away its free time!

As we keep using our electronic devices we’ll eventually be less intelligent than monkeys.

Those electronic devices are great for training. I have been perfectly trained to be obedient to them.
