As I recall, Occam’s Razor was a prohibition against unnecessarily multiplying entities. It came up in a discussion of angels. I don’t know who dumbed it down for turtles.
Throwing a wet rag on the comic, the image was not made with Hubble, but using several radio telescopes in North America, Hawaii, South America, and the South Pole.
Of course with Hammy’s superpowers, that just means that he would spared going out to Hubble, but instead use them within the atmosphere, or perhaps the Hammysphere…
FYI: Photo of the black hole was taken by merging radio signals from radio telescopes from around the world, not by an optical telescope. I still like the comic as drawn.
Einstein thought black holes were theoretically possible but unlikely in the real world. It was Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar who thought that they would exist in reality. Very smart gent and another Nobel winner (and NO, the Nobel is NOT selected in the manner depicted on the Big Bang Theory).

Look at Hammy…showing them what a real black hole consists of…a donut with a hole & raspberry sprinkles!
