Panel 1 is truly classic Pat and Tracy en route! The startled Mr. Hart probably naively thought he was going to get away with his murder/insurance fraud, until that dreaded knock on the door from the detectives. I hope the Sunday strip ties up the story in a neat bundle. I have enjoyed this Minit Mystery more than most….

Pretty much the only suspect. ✨

No surprise here. Usually when a married person is killed, the spouse is the main suspect unless something clearly indicates otherwise

Hartless has such an innocent deer in the lights look.

So the butler did do it…rather the spouse in this case which is always indicated first unless disproven otherwise.

I prefer the yellow. Purple does not look good on Tracy

Let’s hope he breaks down and confesses, because we haven’t seen any actual evidence.

The flaw here is that it was implied that Hart knew nothing of the insurance money: “He was worried about income since she was the breadwinner.”

I knew it from day 1, I just didn’t want to spoil the story.

Don’t be too hard on yourself, Tracy, you’re not to blame for a badly written (if well-intentioned) story.

Wow, a whole gaggle of crime solvers following this strip. Time to move on to Inspector Danger’s Crime quiz. Retro art was good though.
