Newenglandah, there is more independent evidence for the events written in the bible than there is for evolution. (Including Jesus’ death and resurrection - see the writings of Josephus, a 1st century Roman historian). So who has passionate faith in events that never happened, believers or darwinists?
My pastor says there’s as much, if not more, historical evidence for the existence of Jesus Christ than there is for the existence of George Washington (no offense intended toward George Washington.)
JanCInVV beat me to the punch in mentioning Josephus.
Darwinism is also a religion. The one thing all religions require is faith. Belief without proof. The evidence of a missing link is far less than the evidence of creation.
There is a fascinating book: “Evolution and the Future of Mankind,” that I would recommend to Slim and all of you, particularly Jeigheff’s pastor. The author, Lawrence Wood, also has a most informative blog that may be found at: http://lawrencewood.wordpress.com/. One stead fast creationist posted the comment: “I am impressed by the organization of your book, the thoroughness you have displayed, and the repetition of important ideas you have pointed out. Unlike most academic books, I find it a pleasure to read.” And, no I am NOT the author, just a person who – when thinking beyond these comics - has more faith in facts, than fiction.

Let’s see.. on the one hand the scientific method.. and on the other writings from around 600-700 years after the events happened.
Gee, this is so hard.
