No, she’s just showing a lack of respect for his masculinity. But, you’re right, that could be misconstrued to be a sign of affection. Ooh, Peter and Fat Broad sitting in a tree, k-i-s-… ;-)
Lack of respect for men is an almost universal TV and comics ploy. I guess we just get so much fun every 28 days or so from living with them, they have to get back at us. Maybe my sides are just hurting so bad from laughing at myself and not from getting kicked in them.
I know this supposed to be a bit of a PETA joke, but genderism is WAY to high these days.
Snoogie Bear is blond, but I suspect that it’s a coloring error. From the height and hairstyle (not to mention the presence of Wolfie), I think that’s Thor.
And I’d suspect that freeholder’s account had been hijacked by Frank T.J. Mackey from “Magnolia”, except he’s ALWAYS moaning that his masculinity is being dissed. Two words: Man up.
freeholder, you’re comparing men being portrayed as clueless doofuses (doofi?) in comics and sitcoms with Segregation? Three more words: Grow a pair.
Let’s face it, there ARE groups which have faced (and still face) pervasive, systematic, and sometimes institutionalized oppression, discrimination, even dehumanization. As a class, “Men” aren’t one of ‘em. Comedy at the expense of the privileged (and men ARE privileged) is an important social release: A poor kid knocking off a rich man’s hat with a snowball is comedy; a rich kid knocking off a poor man’s hat with a snowball is pathetic.
Through no doing of my own, I’m a straight white male. I KNOW the world isn’t fair, and 75% of the time that works in my favor. If I were good looking (instead of smart), that would rise to 90%. If I were a practicing Christian (or even perceived as one), I’d be bulletproof.

By the looks of Woofie in the 1st panel, he seems to take the compliment quite well!

While Wolfie doesn’t seem to be too upset, I’m sure he’ll forgive you if you’ll just rub his belly.

You mean shut up, Fritz. What’s manly about that? I guess MLK should have manned up? Or you haven’t really READ these comics.
See a black guy with a white guy patting him on the head when he objects to picking cotton and what would your reaction be?

You’re right, Fritzoid. I checked over at comics.com - an option that was not available this morning. It is Thor.
