When my son was very young, he insisted that I actually tell him stories (not just read them aloud). I invented Ched R. Cheese, a mouse who was, of course, very fond of cheese. He lived in a big round of hard cheese, that was named the “Cheese Cottage” and had many great adventures!
Colleges and universities are great, aren’t they? But I haven’t seen one yet that offers a degree in perspective. Indeed, I watch as kids and their parents stress out over getting into the Right School, as if there’s a wrong one, and I’m kind of glad there is no such college major. It would be hypocritical. And having enough 7- and 8-year-olds on the faculty would probably violate some labor laws.
