Leftists don’t know how to lose graciously.

Anybody know what Obama ate at his inaugural?

yes! I have the menu right here

The president, his family, and members of Congress dined on seafood stew in puff pastry, duck breast with cherry chutney, herb-roasted pheasant with wild rice stuffing, molasses whipped sweet potatoes, winter vegetables

it pains me to agree with ANYthing buster crabbe says, but this IS a weak point. The righties do so many things that deserve derision, but what they have to eat for a victory dinner isn’t one of them.

Right on the nose! Let’s read the constitution and pass symbolic bills that do NOTHING to move the country forward.

    NH: See? You’re coming around.

JD: Which direction is forward? Left? And symbols matter a lot. Even Leftists understand that, as long as it’s their symbols.

Looks like metaphor: the big money is concentrating at historic levels (and speed) and the middle class is suffering more than ever. (The poor aren’t thought of any more - that would be Marxist.)

As a long time Libertarian, I thought this made some points as have some of the comments above.

Let them eat garbage. Yep, seems fair to me! After all victims have only themselves to blame, until of course they decide not to be victims anymore.

The above scares me though and I wish we had a better way of working things out.

There are just as many rich people on the left as on the right, in fact more if you include the Hollywood Elitists. And you are correct sir, the left never loses graciously. They are still angry about ALGORE. Leftist Liberals, buncha whiny cry babies. “Boo Hoo Hoo” I lost, Wah! They won’t let me change the rules to suit me. Waaaaaaa!! I’m taking my ball and going home.” Buncha whiny cry babies.

My question is who paid for the GOP dinner at the Library of Congress? Was it a pay per plate affair? Did Boehner use campaign funds for it? Did the Republican Party pay for it? If it wasn’t a taxpayer funded event like the inauguraal dinner, who cares, except to try and make some untenable political point. Wow, so they have fancy food and drink at a fancy celebratory party. I believe we did the same thing 2 years ago when my stepson got married. I don’t begrudge the President his inaugural or state dinners, and I don’t begrudge Speaker Boehner and his folks’ dinner.

I would like to thank Obama for the high gas prices. Hey! Everybody blamed Bush and his oil buddies so I’m blaming Obama. Highest price for gas since Bush. Thanks a lot O!

Daviddeer, an interesting point to note is that for at least the last 6 election cycles (every 2 years) the price of oil has dropped considerably within a month after the elections. This cycle is decidedly different. Prices have actually gone up since the November elections.
