Could use some clarification here. Is that pie from an old country, or old pie from any country?
Pie was a means to preserve fruit before refrigeration. It was also originally a breakfast food.

I’ve heard of stone soup but stone pies? M M M M M crunchie to say the least.
The wagon carrying away the pies should have “pie wheels”. That’s the way I remember it being in the Old Country.
