Maybe the tires can be pulled off. She could use the scarf to clog up the tires or keep her mouth clean while she blows on them.

Kids exhibit fantasy behavior that, later in life, would get ’em in the slammer for using mind-altering drugs.

Kudos all around. Everyone here is making a sound decision in the moment. And of course, kudos to the author for capturing that.
