    I rode my bike everywhere until I turned 16, once I had my licence I hardly ever rode one again

    I would seriously hurt myself now if I tried half the things I did back then, and that was on a standard ten speed

    A lot of my friends were a year or 2 older than me; it wasn’t because they could drive sooner, but that sure was a nice extra (I wonder if Crazy Mike’s parents ever found out how much time I spent driving their cars on a learner’s permit…….)

    Such wimps these days have to wear helmets riding bikes. We didn’t in my day and those of us who survived turned out fine.
