Every show I watch is DVRed! Watch it at my convenience (most shows are on after I go to bed), and fast forward through the commercials!

It used to be VCR; which was an acronym for Vague Chance of Recording.

Despite the aphorism, not everything that doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, but if missing something doesn’t kill you, you can do without it.

The kid has a phone, just look up networks online, and watch your shows that way. I do that all the time at work…er, I mean when I’m relaxing.

I haven’t had a way to record television since the digital switchover, which rendered the old VCR useless for recording. Since my TV watching has strictly been over-the-air the past 10 years or so (when I dumped cable TV), I just use the on demand version of Hulu and CBS All Access as my “DVR”. Seems to cover anything important I might miss.
