I have had pretty bad results with Lipton, now that you mention it.

But it seems to sell pretty well without my patronage.

For a good common tea, get PG Tips, Tetley or TyPhoo. Avoid the American brands like the plague.

I had occasion to travel to Ukraine years ago. I expected to sample some good stout Russian blends. But on the Ukranian airline, the restaurants, nearly everywhere I went, Lipton was served. A waitress explained it was the most popular tea. {8>O

It might not be the best, but it’s at a level consistently well below that.

Does anyone remember the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co.?

Liptons is like Bud or McDonalds. It is a constant and will adequately serve its purpose.

Lipton tea was founded in Briton. So please do not pin that turd on America’s shirt!
