National Eat Your Vegetables Day

National Stewart’s Root Beer Day ( I never heard of this brand of root beer, so I don’t know how it can be a “National” holiday. My favorite root beer is A&W)

National Apple Strudel Day (yum!)

National Cherry Tart Day (another yum!). I guess you get rewarded for eating your vegetables by getting root beer and TWO desserts!

Global Garbage Man Day. It’s really not politically correct to call them garbage MEN since there must be some who are women. All the same, this is an important job which we often take for granted, so a toast to the garbage “men”. Let them eat vegetables, apple strudel and cherry tarts and then wash it all down with a big root beer.

This fishmonger doesn’t seem too bright, but he’s an interesting character.

I don’t think they’ll be selling fish much longer.
