Nice word play , Linus.
Eye roll in disbelief indeed, Lucy.
Must have been hell for the Norwegian translators (or any other country). My guess is that they would have tried to make up an entirely different joke, which rarely worked well.
Which is worse: Flying raccoons or the Wicked Witches flying monkeys?
Lucy’s face says, “God, give me patience!”
I DOUBLE DOG DARE anyone to say Linus’ reply in panel three without getting their “tangs toungled”.;-D
Linus: Oh, Rocket? Will you teach my big sister to stop being a fussbudget? Rocket: Sure thing, right, Groot? Groot: I am Groot!
Racoon inside of a cocoon should be a Coco-racoon-on!
Of course, it’s an idea in incubation as of now…
to borrow from Penny in today’s “Drabble” cartoon: “You had to ask!”
LOL! One of the very few times I’m with Lucy!
Are we going sci-fi here?
That’s pretty clever, Linus!
After the recent arc in Endtown, the idea of a Raccocoon is TERRIFYING. [Starting: https://www.gocomics.com/endtown/2019/05/01?ct=v&cti=1621572]
This reminds me of a song Perry Como had a hit with back in the 1950s: Coo Coo Roo Coo Coo Paloma. Maybe Linus heard it on the radio.
I swear, if Lucy slugged him for that one, I’d applaud her.
Now somewhere in the black recesses of Charles Schulz’s mind, there lived a young boy named Linus Raccoon…
It will be a name for Pokemon.
And, when he awoke, he was a beautiful rutterfly.
Maybe he make a Racoondominium.
RACCOCOON = Trash can.
Next to the platypussycat…
Linus has some crazy ideas about zoology. He’d get along well with Luna Lovegood.
“Rocky Raccoon , checked into his room, only to find Gideon’s Bible….”
The rhyming words do make sense.
