Independence means not being alone…

Each depends on the other to reach its best form

So you see, we CAN get along.

I’m old enough to drive, but young enough to walk to avoid having to drive in Fireworks traffic

Seems like a win-win situation.

And, that, my friends, is how the free market works, a voluntary exchange.

I’m all for autonomy on all sorts of levels. I’d never want to give it up. But fully going it alone sounds kind of, well, lonely. I rather like the idea of a day to celebrate interdependence in addition to the big one about independence. And if no one wants to join me, I’ll just celebrate it by myself. Wait, that’s a flawed plan.
