Ring the bells that still can ring Forget your perfect offering There is a crack, a crack in everything That’s how the light gets in
Emerson:
Siegfried, in the Nibelungen, is not quite immortal, for a leaf fell on his back whilst he was bathing in the Dragon’s blood, and that spot which it covered is mortal. And so it always is. There is a crack in every thing God has made.
Rumi:
Sufi teacher, philosopher, and poet Rumi said, “The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” This is true. For being brokenhearted can bring you into that realization that you’re indeed is a human being — fragile and vulnerable; an earthen vessel that can crack and shatter, in one blow of the hand of life. And you have no other choice but to endure the pain and mend and heal your broken heart and spirit, until you are ready to face the world again.

And that’s why she’s the Goddess of Love. It also means that she’s the Goddess of Compassion!

Diamonds are hard, meaning they can scratch almost anything else. But they aren’t particularly tough, meaning resistant to breaking.
