The joke is non-partisan. The assignment of a political stance to one of the stereotypes pictured is a personal choice. I see the beer drinking, sweater wearing fellow as a moderate independent and the martini drinking, suit wearing fellow as a lobbyist.
Maybe he just got his monthly bill from his healthcare provider. I know I feel that way when mine comes. Love your work Wiley, all the best to you and your family.
Tax payers provided your postman salary, Lew and I would bet a few of them resented that, too. ;-) Being I paid for years for my SS and my unemployment, I’m thankful I had the latter in a pinch and hopeful I’ll get to the other. You find somehting I didn’t pay for to begin with, let me know.
Gee, health care isn’t a political issue? Wow. Is this the Fringe universe I woke up in?
Oh, I’m glad I’m just a liberal-loser whiner
That is what I’ll always want to be ee ee
Cause as a chatting liberal-loser whiner
I debate the the neo-cons with glee.
Now if I was a pious neo-con-guy
I could lie all day and be believed ieved ieved
But since I’m not a pious neo-con-guy
I will try to keep folks undeceived.
It isn’t very easy to be liberal
Cause all the right-wing nutters do agree gree gree
That evil has its source in all things liberal.
And nothing good can come from empathy.
Now rhyme and reason will not ever ever
Really solve our problems left or right ight ight
My nonsense could go on and on forever
Real life issues aren’t so black and white.
Somewhat, in part, a reference to yesterday’s comic, more or less totally uncalled for, completely unfinished and sung to the tune of the Oscar Myer Wiener song.
Sad that many folks who oppose any form of healthcare for Americans are the ones that feel they can just go to the hospital if they get sick, and somebody else will pay for it. Sadder still, they are right. So, of course, they don’t care.

Why do you always go there? Just once, can’t you let the joke remain essentially non-partisan?

It’s about stubborn apathy, not the GOP.

I agree that the joke is non-partisan, well said Sandfan, these loonies that want to make everything a political issue must be hippy leftovers.
