Trout’s confusing “Rifleman” with “Branded”; a common mistake. Jason McCord used a metal detector to search for the other half of his sword.

Years ago I bought a metal detector for $700. It located many a nail and bottle cap, never any “treasure” but it was worth the cost just to see the happy face on a young girl (about 14 or 15) when I found the bracelet her boyfriend gave her, on the sandy beach.

“Friends” would have been a more watchable show if it had featured metal detectors.

got a metal detector at a flea market for 5 bucks back in the 80’s. never did figure out to use it as it didn’t have an instruction manual. As far as the noise coming out of it was concerned I could have been standing on top of a metal boulder the whole time I was trying to use it as I never heard a change in the noise even when I held it over an exposed pipe.

Just set the dial to PLATINUM, 5 POUNDS MINIMUM.

Works like a charm. (i.e. it won’t)
