My own Janis is very much on the anal side. She wants to sort, fold, and put away all of my clothes because she has a certain way that she likes such things to be done. She also likes to count my socks and boxers, just to be sure the washing machine didn’t eat anything.

Oh, well. At least she lets me shave myself and comb my hair.

At least their machines are on risers. Ours still sit on the floor – and the floor is low.

Arlo helped in the kitchen yesterday, helped with the laundry today. Tomorrow is the Fourth of July… he may be getting on her good side to ensure an extra good fireworks show tomorrow!

“I’ll get, you fold.” Seems fair.

Yep. He works all day to earn a salary. He mows the lawn, maintains the house, maintains the cars, cooks dinner, washes dishes, caters to his wife’s every whim, but, by God, he is a lazy slob because he doesn’t f-ing fold the laundry???

If Arlo expects Janis to fold all the time he should invite her to play a game of poker. ;-)

Fold shirts? Isn’t that what hangers are for?

I do the laundry and If no one is around I do all the folding. My wife does the ironing.

Take the laundry to wash/dry and fold place. Peace will reign.

I have tried for years, but I can’t fold clothes to save my life. I wash ’em and dry ’em and she folds ’em and I put ’em away. She did all of it for over 30 years, so it has to be my turn.

My wife forbids me to do any laundry. I’ll put everything away, but the few times I’ve tried, I apparently messed up the right combination of what’s in the load, what temperatures to use, what soap, what softener (if any), what cycle, how big, how long, and then what dryer temp, time and dryness. Makes me wonder how I ever managed 45 years as an aerospace engineer…

I do hang shirts and slacks while at the laundromat so that they have fewer wrinkles, but everything else I just throw in the baskets to bring home and fold while watching TV. Gives my hands something to do.
