Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
I can see it nowâŠâŠ.. The five horsemen of the apocalypseâŠâŠâŠWar, Famine, Pestilence, Death, and Big Snowballs Raining Down On Innocent People Walking Under Trees.
LeslieAnne,
Are you perpetually 25 as Calvin is perpetually 6?
Iâll bet you could get help with your snowpants quicker than Calvin got help with his snowpants, although tomorrow Calvin probably will get assistance sooner than he did today, much to his chagrin.
Itâs a good thing professional sculptors donât shop at Toys-R-US, the cost to city budgets for those âworks of artâ that decorate every other street corner would be even more exorbitant! ^_^
Calvinâs finished article will probably have the horse rearing up on itâs hind legs with Dad cowering on the ground while looking up in fear below the front legs.
puddleglum2 No I am not perpetually 25⊠I will be 26 in 7 months! I am not afraid of my age, and it comes from a line of women who werenât afraid of their age. My mother is very proud to say she is 47!
Calvin⊠to have enough clay to match the size of your imagination, it would take over the entire house!!!
With Calvinâs self confidence and ego, any statue he would create of himself would equal or even exceed anything Moammar Gadhafi has had created to honor himself.

I think youâll need a lot moreâŠ

What a talented child!!
rentier about 14 years ago
More clay or a smaller statue, but this wouldnât be so impressive!
rayannina about 14 years ago
So would Calvin be War, Famine, Pestilence or Death?
Given the back-and-forth with Susie Derkins, Iâm guessing War.
DerkinsVanPelt218 about 14 years ago
Centaurs are cool. Calvin centaur-no words can describe it.
GROG Premium Member about 14 years ago
Actually, shouldnât it be larger than life-sized to be impressive?
Good Morning, Marg, Mike & â Lonewolfâ !*
Hobbes Premium Member about 14 years ago
His hair will be hard to do in clay.

Hmm, will it occur to him that he might get more clay if he digs up the back yard?
Ooops! Premium Member about 14 years ago
I am very impressed.
vibjyor about 14 years ago
I can already âSeeâ the statue ! I am sure dad wont grudge a little bit more clay to have it completed.
Puddleglum2 about 14 years ago
Probably Dad sometimes wishes Calvin were a statue.
dataweaver about 14 years ago
@rayannina: No, no, no; heâs the Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. Chaos.

Will Hobbes be part of this âmonumentâ?
Gâmorning, Grog, Marg & Mike!
thirdguy about 14 years ago
He should just go outside, and make his statue out of snow!! (if he can ever get his snowpants on!) Puddleglum ???
yuvrajhanspal about 14 years ago
@Calvin youâll need just a âlittleâ bit more clayâŠ
rentier about 14 years ago
I made my school leaving examination in âmusicâ and I had âThe book with seven Sealsâ composed by Franz Schmidt.
florchi about 14 years ago
margueritem & yuvrajhanspal: Calvinâs supply of clay may be limitedâŠbut his imagination is not.
anewrun about 14 years ago
I can see it now, The Horseman of CALVIN
C - Chaos A - Anarchy L - Lamentation V - Verve I - Insidious N - Nifty
yes nifty too, canât help it I like him
brick10 about 14 years ago
Think minimalist. Stop at the hoof.
Ray_C about 14 years ago
Just get a huge lump of clay and remove everything that doesnât look like a Horseman of the Apocalypse.
Curmudgeon says: âmodellingâ should be âmodeling.â
rshive about 14 years ago
Wonder which Horseman Calvin will be.
coltish1 about 14 years ago
Hmmm, feet of clay. I couldnât have guessed it.
jeffsxq about 14 years ago
@Ray C (aka Curmudgeon): Websterâs lists modeled, modelled, modeling, modelling all as valid spellings.
jeffsxq about 14 years ago
Interesting that Hobbesâ first thought, picturing Calvin on a horse, is of the apocalypse!
cleokaya about 14 years ago
Calvin, you will also need a large purchase of bronze for your final casting, or marble. Best to get dadâs credit card when heâs taking a nap.
vzs1022 about 14 years ago
Just a tiny bit more.
rogue53 about 14 years ago
Stupendous, followed by War, then Famine (to bed without dinner).

i donât think there will ever be enough clay, because heâs going to continue to add to his imagination.
A Calvin World in clay
jeffsxq , hobbes first thought is really interesting hmmm
hippogriff about 14 years ago
See Tolkienâs Leaf by Niggle.
When I was with the Vancouver Maritime Museum, I was a modeller. In Texas, I was a modeler. Now that effective tremor has set in, I am neither. :-(

As Navin Johnson says, standing by the fence outside his house, âITâS A START!â
ratlum about 14 years ago
A huge white horse rearing our hero holds his magic sword up high to slay any dragons that come near his fair maiden . Suzie ?
Ray_C about 14 years ago
*jeffsxq: True curmudgeons scoff at Websterâs. Not being a true curmudgeon, however, I will have to accept your correction.

âCharge!â
khpage about 14 years ago
If Calvin is to be the Horseman of Chaos, suggest the horse be painted a nice, bright orange paisleyâŠ.
glitterygal07 about 14 years ago
And then when your mom walks in Calvin, you can make up that you have to do this horse statue for a school assignment.
musicnut1986 about 14 years ago
All of this talk of horseman makes me think of this
bmonk about 14 years ago
We never limited ourselves to one such creationâwhich is why our clay didnât seem to stay in any one shape very long.
SWEETBILL about 14 years ago
Calvin, canât wait till your 7, knowledge is power, go guyâŠ.

â Lonewolfâ said: Will Hobbes be part of this âmonumentâ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hobbes may be Calvinâs best friend but that doesnât necessarily mean heâd be willing to share statue space with him!
chamin about 14 years ago
Thatâs more like 500 lawyers under the sea. A good start, but thereâs a lot more to go.
Dino-1 about 14 years ago
musicnut1986: That was pretty awesome, reminds me of the 60âs growing up! Very cool!
