Years ago, my mom worked in an ice cream/snack shop in a tourist town. Canadian tourists were always baffled and disappointed that they didn’t have soft serve. On a school trip to Quebec, we discovered why. Canadian soft serve is an entirely different thing from US soft serve; rich, decadent, superior in every way.

I usually avoid soft ice cream and haven’t had any in years, but suddenly I have the urge for a DQ dipped cone.

Soft serve cannot be called ice cream.

Even though it usually turns out to be almost tasteless, I still have a soft spot in my heart for the chocolate / vanilla soft serve twist.

A steak and a hamburger aren’t the same thing, but I love them both.

Frozen custard is better.
