Where I grew up summers could get as hot as 115 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, so you can imagine how hot the roads and parking lots were! I can assure you, we didn’t even THINK of doing something like this, and we all avoided slides like the plague ( a burned backside and thighs is no fun.)
