Down the stairs for two flights and to the right. You’ll first need to pay 25 clams at the ticket booth at the bottom of the hill. If you need toilet paper, it will be 50 clams. A page from the Sears & Roebuck catalog is 30 clams; a page from the Victoria Secrets catalog 40; a Play Boy page 100 clams.
Last year I was on the Appalachian Trail for a 3-day trek. Our first night’s stop was selected because there was a water source “nearby.” “Nearby” was a quarter mile down a treacherous path with the empty water containers and back up with full containers.
When the local convenience store chain split their cash registers whereupon one is for purchase of tobacco products and the from the other, they cannot be bought, i suggested they move it to the top of a flight of stairs. nobody laughed
The lack of stair rails reminds me of the stairways in Moria in the LotR movies. Only dwarves can safely pass them (and elves if they don’t get cave-sick).

Hey, Peter had to haul a case of water all the way up those 250 steps. He deserves to be paid for his efforts.

Water? Sure, just down the stairs behind you. There’s a fresh running stream in the bottom of the valley.

No sale. He would have to go down the stairs to fetch that many clams, but then he’d be able to get water without going back up.
Come to think of it, I don’t see any water up there to sell. Maybe the 50 clams is what he charges to go down the stairs and fetch the water up?

Reminds me in the 3rd season of “Fear the Walking Dead” when the Damn is taken over and cutting off water to everyone. They were finally killed.
