I’m one of those people who’s had to explain to a millennial that you can play solitaire with an actual deck of cards.

Give Jason a Chromebook with just “DOOM” on it …

Have him make his own game in FORTRAN. Now there is classic for you.

Yesterday I was doing an escape room with a family with four kids. At one point there was a safe with a number code we had to put in to open it. The oldest kid was putting in the code and afterwards, we told her to press the pound key. The what? she asks. Hashtag! her dad and I said together. Oh, ok. Beep! the safe opens. The adults all looked at each other, we couldn’t believe we had to use hashtag to describe the pound key.

Technically, All Paige needs to do is tell the parents and they’ll make Jason get off. Homework takes priority over computer games.

We now pause this feature for all of the “back in my day” comments from the assorted bitter oldsters …

I play on a TLE (Time Locked Expansion) server for Everquest2… it’s mostly populated with players that rush through the content as fast as possible and then spend the rest of their time complaining there is nothing to do.

I was amazed at first, considering that Jason has enjoyed cheat codes that make games effortless.

Paige does not get that Jason is doing on purpose not to gain computer.

Why is it that both can be on it? I guess they don’t have a hub just a router.

Playing solitaire is marginally better than not playing at all, usually (though there are days when not dealing with partners or opponents is a pure joy). Jason, of course, is mostly playing against Paige.

PS: Amend is sure behind the times. Have you heard of a school kid who didn’t have their own computer… or at least their own phone upon which much computation may be done?

At ten years old, Jason wasn’t even born when the original came out.

How many of these “Jason hogs the computer playing an MMORPG” strips has Amend done so far???

How is that kid still alive. Literally everyone he meets, other than fellow nerds, wants him dead for one reason of another.
