Been there done that. For some reason we had to spend a couple of nights in our guest bedroom. The mattress was horrible. I was so embarrassed thinking about the recent guests we had over.

When I can’t sleep, I try reading Wikipedia entries. Works like a charm.

Don’t understand, guest mattress shouldn’t be worn out.

I sometimes do that, and it does work. Plus, it has the added benefit of making my SO nervous. ;-)

Counter argument: You should keep that guest bedroom mattress and ensure visitors don’t stay longer than necessary.

For all the innuendo this strip tends to have, I’m surprised Arlo didn’t offer a “solution”.

I find that taking melatonin before bed helps me fall back to sleep when I wake up during the night.

Said everyone…ever. That’s why its there….but then again you don’t want your guest to stay forever now do you.

I have not found new environs to be more restful.

My husband has been sleeping back and forth between the guest room and the recliner, because his snoring can wake the dead, and he constantly complains that the bed is “killing” his back. Whenever I mention that he could go buy a new mattress, he ignores me.

No problem sleeping here. There are times that my eyeballs want to slam shut, so I cop a nap. Occasionally it becomes a problem at my job as an air traffic controller though. kidding!

Ah, the opening salvo for a complete reno – first it’s the mattress, then the bed. Next the walls need painting, and the old carpet should be replaced. Oh, and some new art for the walls and a new chair for the sitting area, as well…

OK, Jimmy? Where’s the real Arlo and what have you done with him? ;o)

You really don’t want a GREAT mattress in the guest room! Too tempting to overstay…

Some exercise,say boudoir gymnastics, would tire her out enough to sleep…
