To Bbear from yesterday. So sorry to hear of y our loss, Bob. I wish we could say more because just “I’m sorry” feels so inadequate. Tabby was such a handsome kitty! I now you’ll miss him terribly. but you did the right thing for him. I know how hard that is to do.
Also to Bbear from yesterday. I read James Patterson books too! Sometimes I want to read something light and then I’ll read Debbie Macomber or other romance novels. Other times, I go for something with a lighthearted sort of suspense type book and I pick a Janet Evanovich. I got one of her Stephanie Plum books at yesterday’s book sale. I Also have read all of the Lilian Jackson Braun “Cat Who…” mysteries. And I like Mary Higgins Clark too. I buy the vast majority of my books at the library book sales because they cost so little there. In my hometown, they charge by the book – 50 cents for paperback and $1 for hardcover. It was 25 cents for romance books and kid’s books. But the sale I went to yesterday as well as another sale I went to in May it’s a “name your own price”. So I fill a tote bag and give them $10 (sometimes more if I find something really good). I think I have about 50 James Patterson books I haven’t read yet. I have lots of other books I haven’t read yet too. I keep most of my books after I read them but I put others in one of the “Free Little Libraries” we have around town.
National Smore’s Day. I love smore’s, but won’t have time to make them (unless I did the “cheat” type in the microwave) because I have to work.
National Lazy Day. Dang it, I can’t do that either because I have to work.
National Shapewear Day. Would not fit in even with our relaxed dress code.
National Garage Sale Day. Not for me, when I have to work. But I do like garage sales.
National Bowling Day. Another thing I love, though I have not been bowling for a few years now. My favorite bowling alley closed and they turned it into a “gentleman’s club” (nudie bar).
National Connecticut Day. I have friends who used to live there, but they moved to South Dakota
Pigs can’t swim and pigs can’t fly, but pigs can see the wind go by. Pigs make lovely household friends when winter comes and summer ends. Early in the morning, so early in the morning, so early in the morning, before the break of day. (Irish Rovers)
Bbear…from yesterday, On the road, but just wanted to let you know how sorry I am to read about Tabby. It is so hard to lose our furry kids, & he was for sure, your kid !!He knew well, that he was appreciated and how much he was loved.
To BBear and all other cat parents out there. I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before, but read “Confessions of an Angel Cat” by Nic Tatano. We’ll see them all again.
Thanks to those of you who have emailed, or messengered me about Tabby. I now believe that I kept him alive at least a week too long. When he was “put to sleep” yesterday I was petting him and talking to him as he died. So he didn’t die alone. It was when I got home and there was no cat to greet me that it really hit me hard. What a lonely house it is now. God how I miss that cat! I thought I was done with posting for a while but Facebook kept putting cat pictures in my feed. So here we are. I hope you like them.
After my kitchen gets a new counter and backsplash I am thinking of a trip to the local shelter.
I hope Noreen Klose’s heart operation went well and that we hear from her soon.
Flying pigs and a purple sky? That would be an interesting sight to see! I wish they’d give at least one of these dogs a chance. At least Lily wasn’t as mean to this one. On another note, it was raining earlier today where I live, which is good for my garden. (Didn’t see any flying pigs, though.)

That’s enough! Three dogs up, three dogs down. This ain’t baseball. Do we need any more evidence of workplace discrimination?

That’s one gullible pup to believe Lily’s story.

Much kinder than telling job applicants “we’ll be in touch” when they know darn well who is being appointed.

It is rather nasty when pigs do fly and you are stuck in that middle seat between them.
