Just want to thank you all again for your sympathy, kind words of comfort, tears and hopes for a good outcome. I know I will always find kind hearts and good wishes on these pages. Bless you all. XOX
Poor Oliver, he’s gonna be so confused. Wait til somebody picks a bunch of Cat Tails and if Annie plays “Kitten on the Keys” at her piano practice , he will go bonkers!
National Radio Day. I only listen to the radio in the car and I don’t really plan on going anyplace tomorrow. So I probably won’t be listening to the radio.
National Chocolate Pecan Pie Day. Okay, I like the part about chocolate pie (I make a pretty good chocolate cream pie), but I’m not big on pecan pie.
My sister Mary’s pacemaker surgery went well. She called me yesterday evening to let me know she was okay. She is supposed to be released from the hospital around noon today.
I forgot to say thanks for the laughs on the August 18 strip when I made a couple typos. I wondered what the bus fare was for “cars”. I don’t think they could get a car on the bus. Of course, I meant to say “cats”.
And the other typo – yes, I absolutely WOULD PAT $40 for a cat print sweatshirt. I’d PAT any amount of money for a cat shirt. Of course, I meant to say I would not PAY $40 for a sweatshirt. But thanks for the funny comments on my boo boos.
Speaking of Tad1’s wildlife encounters, my brothers encountered a herd of 8 or 9 deer walking in a yard about a block from my house which is located well inside a city ot 30,000. I can’t remember ever seeing a deer when growing up and now they are everywhere.
ONE OF THE BEST/FUNNIEST EVER. The absence of a 4th panel (Oliver’s response) makes it even funnier. Remember this one well. Wonder how long before new material is forthcoming.
No, Oliver, catsup isn’t made from cats and neither is catgut. It’s actually made from sheep. (Poor sheep. :( ) Of course, most modern tennis rackets have string made from artificial material instead of catgut. (Which is good for the sheep.) Incidentally, my Mom hates the word “catsup” and prefers to call it ketchup. To each their own. On another note, went to my Aunt and Uncle’s house today. Saw a hummingbird there.

I have never called it “catsup”. All of my life it has been “ketchup”. And it’s my favorite condiment ♡

Annie, dear, you should have just told him you were eating a candy bar. You know how sensitive little Oliver is.

Good morning, everyone; I seem to have acquired a nagging cough that won’t go away. I have a doctor’s appointment, but it’s not until next month.

Kit Kats will be offered in MINT this upcoming Xmas season. Not bad. But you should go to Japan for really great flavours.
