Ok first off, I don’t believe in ghosts, but I also have an open mind.

We owned an old house that belonged to a Ukrainian lady, Olga, who died at home years ago. We were watching TV and dog started growling at kitchen window. My wife saw a lady with a shawl, I saw only shadows. There was no footprints in the fresh snow. ???

    Fast forward

Step son moves in when we bought bigger house. He called to complain that his stereo kept shutting off. I asked what he was playing, hHeadbanger stuff. I said Olga doesn’t like your music. Tell her you will play country for her but you like your music sometimes. He thought we were nuts but it worked.

My stepfathers pre-Civil War house outside of Lexington VA has a cold spot in the attic. Found it on a really hot, it can stay up there.

True, that. Seems like we suddenly notice a lot more flaws with our stuff once we own it.

Dogs are lovable but not the brightest – everyone knows you have to have your head completely under the covers to be safe from monsters!

Something exists that accounts for ghost stories. I don’t think it’s the souls of dead people, but it’s something besides imagination.

I’ve known two people that asserted their houses were haunted. One said she had a poltergeist, would move things and knock things to the floor. The other said the family ghost was his father, and that the whole family believed it. He told me 3 stories. They would often hear piano music playing and his father played the piano. The dog sometimes would stare at different spots for long periods. They once had a seance and the only thing that happened was pretty spooky. The chandelier moved about 45 degrees and stayed there for awhile before moving back. Speaking of the dog, I was playing badminton with my friend and we heard the dog barking up a storm inside. When we tried to get in, both doors wouldn’t open. When the dog finally stopped, we tried again and the door opened.

I don’t read anything into this strip except that Annie truly feels that this is her home now, for better or worse and nothing else matters. Plus her home comes with a built in support system! Oh, and yes, it’s the cats playing messing with your mind.

The house that we moved from in May had a, for lack of better words, friendly spirit that would make noises in the house.

    He wasn’t in the listings.

Wait till Annie sees the 2-cat’s laboratory. Now they are scary.
