interesting how love is blind until you’re bored or see something better across the way.. i’ve known teds before.. they stink, and this dishonesty is rampant and inconsiderate. aren’t we all adults here? what about some consideration for our true motives or will our egos become damaged in the process of growing up? it all boils down to ego..
The tall one bugs me since that’s obvious from day 1, but the rest of them could have been charming in the beginning and then become annoying. But they’re essentially lame excuses for a bigger problem.
Somebodyshort is most likely right, but that is much different than what JanCinVV said. Staying around for nooky is much different than being easy. And if they were in a relationship, it doesn’t mean she was easy. Aren’t you guys complaining that once you’re in a relationship, things slow down? If things were going well in the bedroom then shouldn’t that be a plus for their relationship health? There was something else wrong.
Well, as predicted by, well, pretty much every one of us here, Ted was with Connie for as long as he was getting what he wanted and when he was done, then so was she. What a disgusting human being he is.
Thank goodness these “qualities” that Ted finds so annoying in a woman aren’t shared by every man! I fall under the categories of “doesn’t cook like his mother”, “talks too fast”, and “laughs too much” … and yet my husband loves me anyhow. Go figure!

Did Connie ever find anyone in the original run?

Connie was looking for love, Ted was looking for tain, but it’s Connie that’s loose.
Nothing like a contradiction of terms.

Holding our breath for the Lynn Johnston explanation, but not motivated enough to try to find it.

Connie seems more tragic this time around, but maybe because I’m that much older and see this whole rat race as tragic!
I can’t think of a single strip over the years where Ted’s come off as anything but a jerk, though.

Put simply-
He’s just not that into you.
