This is an amazing example of the dedication of the artist. Chip could have been lazy today and just got two previous drawings of Nate standing, from the archives, perhaps months ago, one of Nate with a bent elbow and one with a straight arm, and just filled in the script for today. But notice there are subtle differences even with the two frames with the straight arm. The beard has different shapes, the nose seems to be slightly bigger, the eyelashes are slightly different, and even the triangle on the guy’s shirt is subtly different. Now that is artistic dedication.
Just a small reminder, just a sad example,.. a few Maple Leafs here and there, perhaps an elm leaf or two,… just a scattering of early dried out leafs before the deluge…. an artistic performance by trees stripping down before they hibernate…
I, too, am sad to see the end of summer. However, autumn isn’t nearly as bad as winter, and the leaves are pretty. Still, spring is the best in my book.
Wow—all four seasons in one comment. A personal best!

He needs a cat, or four, to chase them away. If course, they still turn color and fall off.

It’s called motivation, Raymond.
Back when Nate was growing up, leaves clung to their trees through 2-foot snowdrifts.. uphill all the way!

It’s still September and it’s supposed to be in the 90s next week. We’ve still got some summer to go, even if it’s not official.
