This is the scene at virtually every outdoor dining area on Hawaii. The myna birds sit in the nearby trees and dive in and grab any unguarded bits of food. The wait staff at the hotels are constantly having replace guests’ food after it’s been fouled by the birds.
After I did the first major glass cleaning on my patio door in a couple of years, I was hearing sparrows ricochet off the windows for the next couple of days.

The punch bowl (which had been spiked by someone) was left out uncovered & unguarded.
The sparrows used it as a birdbath and drinking fountain. They’re Flying While Intoxicated.
