Be that as it may, Curtis is getting a distorted view of the news.

So long as he doesn’t use that paper as a horn. Toot tooting can be rather annoying, dontcha know.

Curtis does his tooting without need of amplification by newspaper.

In his mind,

Curtis is looking through his telescope while being far off to sea.

Sometimes seeing ahead just doesn’t help.

That’s why he reads the “Our Neighborhood” section of the Ballard Bugle,

and not the front page of the New York Times.

Curtis is centred in life.

We should all be more like Curtis.

As long as he leaves the cartoon page alone, he’s safe from his wife in that near vicinity.

Tomorrow, Curtis discovers how to make binoculars.

It’s “news” to him….

He’ll be making a pirate hat from some of the rest of the paper.
