When we kids were little my parents often called each other “Mommy” and “Daddy” if we were around.
Looking back, it seems weird… but by the time we were teenagers and started saying “Mom” and “Dad,” and for the rest of their lives, they only addressed each other as “Honey” and “Dear.”
They referred to each other, to friends and relatives, by their first names, but I never once heard them use them when speaking to each other.

Be careful, Milton, remember the last time you asked that she chased you out of the kitchen with a broomstick.
