hmm the chassis seems bent

He’s been searching for it with a fine tooth comb but now he can’t find that either

Call it what you will, Gloria, Gene calls it watching young Miss Hooplemyer getting ready for bed with her drapes open.

The only thing my internal compass tells me anymore is to eat, go to work and sleep.

External one too, it appears to me.

Gene never DID know if he was coming or going!

It looks like maybe Gene wants or needs to “phone home”.

Gene’s cast-iron pants must be interfering with his navigation readings.

Then again, knowing Gene’s magnetic personality, a little deviation is to be expected.

Thankfully Gene still has all of his hair – perhaps he can get by with his devastating good looks.

At least Gene didn’t loose his comb, though he forgot to use it.

Seems Gene has also forgotten were he keeps his pocket comb. Yep, he’s lost it.

He still has his comb which he doesn’t seem to use.

Probably.

Gene wonders why his life has gone south.

Oldpine52 probably had it right with “watching young Miss Hooplemyer getting ready for bed”, but he could be reminiscing about his youth when he would sneak out the window for a good time with Miss Hooplemyer.

She used to be the direction of his North pole.

It’s next to the comb, in his right rear pocket.

I’d say he’s lost his will to live.

gene’s a normal guy – he refuses to ask for direction in his life…
