I get that once in a blue moon. No one’s going to get their daily needed 10,000 steps if motorists want to to chauffeur you.

Pluggerville can’t be that big if this happens a lot.

I’d be very suspicious if somebody stopped and offered me a ride.

“My mom taught me to never talk to strangers.”“But I have catnip.”“Really? Let’s go!”

Go for a walk every day. In the beginning that would happen a lot. Now 10 years later most folks know me as the walking guy with the Yellow Headphones ! Walking keeps my “Back” and “Mind” in shape :-)

hehe…i’ve only picked up one hitchhiker in my life…back around 1980, going to Daytona Beach on I-4 one Friday night, I picked up Aileen Wuornos….did not realize it was same girl until after she was executed, didn’t follow story at all…felt bad I would have come to her defense, which is why I mention it whenever I can…she was sweet

When I worked close to my job & walked, coworkers would often pass on the way & insist I ride with them, not matter how hard I tried to explain I like the walk. It was too time consuming & I’d end up late arguing, so I ended up riding a few times. I think in Pluggerville they mostly know each other, so it’s not getting in the car with a stranger. On the other hand buy now they should know whose out for a walk or to get their steps in.

Sit down to rest… everyone thinks you’re having a heart attack.

I live in a rural area where everyone knows everyone, so any long walk is interrupted with numerous ride offers.

If you are brave enough to walk beside the road her you are likely to be ran over by a logging truck or a speedster. It’s not safe to walk in Sacramento either.
