What function does a costume serve? Self-aggrandizement? Show off physique? Or, in the case of female characters, your… uh… I mean, a big enough mask will hide your identity (see Red Tornado). But, c’mon, that dinky little mask on Green Lantern? Would anyone who knew Bruce Wayne not recognize him as Batman on hearing him speak? BTW, D-man, a good look on you. Keep it.

Somewhere out there, there is a Wonder Woman comic series, where she is wearing jeans and a black leather jacket instead of her costume.

“Smallville” was written with Clark not wearing any costumes. It was about him going through his school and beyond. “No flights, no tights” was their catchphrase in the writers room. But Clark did wear tights and did take flight. In the last 2 minutes of the last episode.

Dynaman could at least wear his underwear on the outside to avoid being mistaken for a normie.
