I was “lucky” and had my braces when I was in 5th Grade. I can’t imagine having them as a teenager – sure, good in the long run, but they must be a terrible experience (emotionally) for a teen, especially a younger teen like Luann is here. Are braces even that common anymore? One seldom hears anything about them, although I will admit I’ve been out of the loop for such things for a long time.
