Breathing. ls she breathing? If not, blow air in with head slightly bach, mouth open and covered, jaw distended, nose pinched closed.
Circulation does she have a heartbeat? If not, compress the heart inside the ribcage, beneath the sternum in the center.
Once rescue breathing and/or circulation is begun, continue until Bernice does it on her own, EMTs or others arrive to take over, or you are too exhausted to continue.
If compressions are needed, they used to teach 4 breaths, 15 compressions, 2 breaths, 15 compressions. Check every 4 cycles. Then for simplicity, they went to 2 breaths each time, including the first.
Then they decided compressions got enough air in the lungs to drop the rescue breaths and just do compressions.
(Compressions are about two finger widths up from bottom of breastbone/sternum, using heel of hand, arms straight, using your body movement to compress, about two inches for each compression.)
There’s actually quite a bit of leeway, just so blood flows and air gets in and out.

Ummm… are there no adults handy? With CPR training? This was an organized PE class, right? So the gym teacher was on coffee break?!

Bernice is effectively dead. There is a window there to restore life function.
