Louise Gandy was on the Century High School football team, great kicker. This was back in the 1950s, though, don’t know how many such great kickers there are today.
I taught HS for decades. Several times I had several female students who played on the football team. I grant it was not common…I had one young woman who was a starter for on punts & kickoffs. When the Coach had a nickel back formation she was used…she was fast & a good tackler…

Oh — you meant gridiron football. We thought you meant the sport where we kick the ball. You call it … you call it … oh! soccer!
