Glad to see Memaw doesn’t feed bad stuff to her deer, like corn. Our 10-point buck came through the meadow this morning and scared the does away from where we drop the deer chow. We sincerely hope he survives the poachers around here, so next year’s fawns carry such good genes.
If you don’t have natural predators then feeding them is a bad idea. They will grow larger than the food can sustain them. They’d do better re-introducing wolves to the are instead.

Knowing deer, she should have garnished it with rose blossoms and had over-ripe tree fallen apples on the side to really make the deer happy.
