Ironically, two stores are closing in nearby Hampton, SC: Fred’s and Goody’s. They are being replaced with two new stores next Spring.

Those pumpkins out front look suspiciously unprocessed.

That’s more than a little unfortunate… We have a very nice supermarket chain over here, with a large selection of organic foods… called Super U… with exactly the same logo..

Isn’t Sunny a little too big to be riding the shopping cart?

More like ultra possessed.

It’s so processed that it’s considered predigested (the old fashion way).

Impossible Whopper, made from 100% GMO mushrooms….

Well, I give them points for truth in advertising.

I feel like processed food is unfairly demonized, I mean, there are lots of ways to process food and not all of them are unhealthy

Robb – Do you, perchance, read Scientific American? Last month’s edition had an article that links ultraprocessed food and obesity. A little scary, really. Thanks for a great strip and handling some ‘touchy’ issues.

One of the growing problems is our food is being processed to give maximum bliss and less to whether it actually healthy to eat.

Shop the outer aisles, mostly greens and other fruit and veggies.
